2011年10月12日，大會秘書組收到德國海瑞克亞洲總部有限公司技術經理肖威（Wilm Schaub）的確認函，他確定在研討會主題報告：“大直徑隧道掘進機技術”。

    報告內容簡介

    為解決方法交通阻塞，全球高度發達的城市都在建設軌道交通和修建隧道設施。另外，由於汽車數量的不斷增長，隧道的尺寸也在增大，以應對較高車流量的需求。因此，應用直徑14m以上的隧道掘進機來適應目前不斷發展的需求。本報告闡述了在設計和製造大直徑掘進機的過程中遇到的挑戰，介紹了某些具體工程實例，並探討了將來的發展。

    報告人介紹

    Mr. Wilm Schaub graduated in 2003 with a Civil Engineering degree in University of Karlsruhe, Germany. He joined Herrenknecht AG, Schwanau in 2006 as a Project Manager for the Asian projects after spending two years with ThyssenKrupp Stahlbau GmbH. With vast experiences collected from his direct involvements with the Asian projects, Mr. Schaub moved to Singapore in 2009 to head the technical department in Herrenknecht Asia Headquarters. He continues to be actively involved in many TBM technical designs and discussions to the business unit within Asia.
